Hi, I’m Dylan, a UX designer and English language teacher. I help non-native UX professionals communicate confidently in English, so they can thrive in global teams and advance their careers.
As a Canadian living in Spain, I’ve developed a deep love for both learning and teaching languages. Over the past five years teaching English, I discovered UX design and quickly found myself drawn to it. I earned a certificate in UX/UI design and then went on to work at startups.
Working across both fields, I began attracting tech professionals who shared a common struggle: their English skills were holding them back. Whether it was landing a job, presenting designs, or speaking up in critiques, they lacked the confidence to fully show up.That’s where I come in.
My mission is to help UX and product designers express their ideas clearly, defend their design decisions, and communicate with confidence in English no matter the setting.
My path combines UX design and language education. I trained as a UX/UI Designer at Designlab and later earned my Cambridge CELTA certification, which deepened my approach to communication and learning.
Fluent by Design was born from this blend: teaching English the same way we design: with empathy, clarity, and real-world context.
